From Aug 20, 2012 to Aug 28, 2012 (included)
|Dear Friends of St. Paulís Chapel World Trade Center Relief Ministry,
I hope this communication finds you and your loved ones well. It is hard to comprehend that the September 11th attacks occurred almost eleven years ago and that the Relief Ministry at St. Paulís came to a close almost ten years ago.
The Mayorís Office of the City of New York has decided to commemorate the eleventh anniversary of the attacks by inviting family members to read the names of their loved ones who died that day. Although it is not yet clear if survivors, responders, recovery workers, residents and/or volunteers will be welcomed to the ceremony, people are making plans to come into lower Manhattan on Tuesday, September 11th, 2012.
Would you be interested in gathering for lunch after the conclusion of the ceremony? You, your family, friends and all who are part of the 9/11 Community are welcome. We need to know if there is an interest in meeting and, if so, how many people want to eat and visit after the ceremony.
Please respond as soon as possible. Feel free to email or call, whichever is most convenient. The wonderful restaurant where we gathered for many years, Moranís, has closed. We are looking for another restaurant, ideally near St. Paulís, where we can gather for 2 -3 hours and at a modest cost. (Moranís allowed us to offer a full lunch @$25 per person or Dessert, Tea & Coffee @$10 per person.) NOTE: Saying ďYESĒ now simply indicates your interest and does not obligate you in any way. Details Ėlocation, menu and cost, will be worked out in a future email.
Thank you. I hope to see you on September 11th. In the meantime, watch for emails about more September 11th related commemorative events.
Peace and Blessings,
PS APOLOGIES for any duplicates! If anyone out there can advise me on an easy way
