Summer Nonprofit Institute: A Tune Up
for Nonprofit and Faith-Based Leaders

Nonprofits are leading in tough times according to the Wall Street Journal “hit by a drop in donations and government funding in the wake of a deep recession, nonprofits—from arts councils to food banks—are undergoing a painful restructuring, including mergers, acquisitions, collaborations, cutbacks and closings.”
Neighborhood Technical Assistance Clinic's nonprofit expert, Valerie Oliver-Durrah, will convene a Summer Nonprofit Institute for those who wish to “Tune Up” by participating in a dialogue featuring 5 targeted topics designed to encourage and engage nonprofit leaders to think about and explore new ways to strengthen their institutions.
Let’s take time this summer to “Tune Up” your Nonprofit Organization and/or Faith-Based Institution. Topics to be covered during the dialogue include:
· Planning a Board Retreat
· Moving from Activities to Results
· How to Create a Management Work Plan
· How to Identify New Funding Resources
· Ideas for Planning Your Next Fundraising Event
Date: Wednesday, August 1, 2012
Time: 9 am - 12 noon
Where: Rockefeller Brothers Fund
475 Riverside Drive
New York, NY 10115
