Dear 9/11 Families,

As we draw closer to the arraignment, I'd like to give you additional information that you will need to attend the CCTV sites. The hearing in Guantanamo Bay will begin at 0900 this Saturday, May 5, 2012, so you will want to arrive early enough to enter the base and go through security at the CCTV viewing site.

Victim family members (VFMs) who receive credentials may bring one family member for support to the CCTV sites, and to Guantanamo Bay Cuba if/when you are selected by the random selection process to travel with us. The support VFM will not receive credentials to enter the site, but will attend as a guest of the qualifying VFM. The bases differ as to how they want to handle this. Detailed information for each site follows.

FORT MEADE. Badges will be issued at the Visitors Control Center, Gate 7, at the corner of Reece Road and MD Route 175 in Odenton. Inform the police officer at the gate that you are on the VFM Roster to be credentialed (badged) for the Office of Military Commissions. The Visitor Center, where you will be issued your credentials, will open at 0700 on Saturday, 5 May 2012, and will remain open until 1300. Support VFMs need a photo ID and can be escorted by the credentialed VFM.

Your VWAP POC at Meade is MAJ Damund Williams, 571-232-7302.

FORT HAMILTON. Badges will be issued at the Visitor Control Center (VCC) located at 101st Street, Brooklyn NY 11252. Inform the police officer at the gate that you are on the Victim Family Member (VFM) Roster to be credentialed (badged) for the Office of Military Commissions. The VCC is located to the immediate right as you enter the Main Gate. You may arrive as early as 0700 on Saturday to receive your credentials.

The support VFM will receive a day pass at the VCC, and the credentialed family member will serve as his/her sponsor.

Your VWAP POC at Hamilton is Domini McDonald, 703-945-0978.

FORT DEVENS. Badges will be issued at the CCTV viewing site, in building # 623. The main gate is located off 10th Mountain Division Road and Quebec St. Inform the police officer at the gate that you are on the VFM Roster to be credentialed (badged) for the Office of Military Commissions. There will be signs from the gate to the location leading you to building 623. The signs will say "EVENT Parking" with arrows.

You may arrive as early as 0730 on Saturday, 5 May to receive your credentials. If you bring a family member with you for support, he/she will not need to be badged, but will be asked to present a photo ID card.

Your VWAP POC at Devens is MAJ Coretta Gray, 571-309-4283.

JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST. Badges will be issued at the McGuire Welcome Center, Bldg 3021 McGuire Blvd Trenton, NJ 08641, just outside the Main Gate, located off Wrightstown-Cookstown Rd and McGuire Blvd. Support VFMs will need to go to the Welcome Center to receive a day pass. The Welcome Center is open from 0600-2200 daily.

VWAP POC at McGuire/Dix/Lakehurst is John Gerardo, 703-901-7523.

I will travel to GTMO tomorrow with the families who were selected to go to the arraignment, so please call your POCs at the sites if you have any questions after today.

With great respect,

Karen V. Loftus
