From Tue May 15, 2012 10:00 am to Tue May 15, 2012 4:30 pm (included)
|Dear Family Member,
Due to last month's positive response to our special Memorial Exhibition Recording Days, we are extending the dates to offer additional appointment times for those families who have not yet taken the opportunity to share recorded memories of their loved ones with the Museum. As you may know, we are continuing to develop what will be the heart of the 9/11 Memorial Museum. This special area, titled In Memoriam, will honor the life of your loved one through photographs, brief biographies, and personal remembrances. We hope to include a recorded remembrance of all 2,983 whose names are inscribed on the Memorial, and we need your help.
If you have not yet recorded a remembrance of your loved one, we invite you to meet with our oral historian during our extended Recording Days on:
Tuesday, May 15
Wednesday, May 16
Thursday, May 17
Appointments are available from 10:00a.m. - 4:30p.m. each day.
These appointments fill quickly, so we encourage you to reserve by calling (877) 671-1636 or emailing email@example.com as soon as possible.
Hosted at the 9/11 Memorial Preview Site, located at 20 Vesey Street, adjacent to the World Trade Center site, recording typically lasts between 30 minutes and an hour. We invite you to bring photos and other materials to donate to the Museum when you come for your appointment.
These recordings are deeply important, and all of them become part of the Museum's permanent collection. To learn more about In Memoriam, please visit us online at 911memorial.org/remember.
If you have already contributed a recording through our partnership with StoryCorps or through our Call to Remember Archive, we thank you and there is no need to re-record with us directly. If you are unsure if you have participated, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at the phone number above and we can check for you while you are on the phone.
We hope to hear from you soon.

President & CEO Director of the Memorial Museum
