From Dec 08, 2011 to Dec 23, 2011 (included)
|Melissa Rabinovich of NY1News made me aware of the following
They were working on a story and had hoped to help a SI family with a very sick father. Unfortunately, they didn't get the chance because the dad passed away today. He was 40 and suffered from ALS. He was a MTA worker who fell just shy of a full pension. As you can imagine, the family incurred extensive medical bills and may face foreclosure. He has
2 sons. Alex is 4 and Max is 8.
The JCC and PS 58 are asking families of fellow classmates for donations but they wanted to know if we could help especially with the holidays coming.
If anyone would like to donate a toy or gift please let us know.
If you would like make a tax deductible financial donation we will turn over 100% of what we collect to the family.
If you would like to donate directly to the family let me know and I will give the information.
