FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
As the Tenth Anniversary of 9-11 Approaches, the 9-11 Healing and Remembrance Program Announces a Family Support Center for All Members of the 9-11 Community
July 29, 2011---The 9-11 Healing and Remembrance Program, in partnership with The Salvation Army, has announced a Family Support Center where the 9-11 community --- including family members, survivors, displaced residents, responders, and 9-11 volunteers from all agencies --- can come together to commemorate the tenth anniversary of 9-1101 on Sunday, September 11, 2011, between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.
This disabilities-accessible Family Support Center, located at 120 West 14th Street in downtown Manhattan, will provide a safe and private space as we honor victims and heroes, as well as promote hope, healing and renewal in our community.
The Ground Zero commemorative memorial service will be streamed live on a 20' x 11' screen in high definition 720p, and run continuously from 8:00 am through 1:00 pm. Guests may arrive and leave the Center at any point during the program.
The 9-11 Healing and Remembrance Family Support Center will provide the following:
A media-free environment
A live broadcast of the Ground Zero commemorative ceremony in lower Manhattan
A range of supportive services for family members, survivors, displaced residents, responders and 9-11 volunteers
On-site mental-health support and child care where needed

The gathering is free, but all who wish to attend must register by calling the Healing and Remembrance Hotline at 1-866-212-0444.
The 9-11 Healing and Remembrance Program is administered by the Mental Health Association of New York City (MHA-NYC). The major goal of the program is to foster healing and resilience through information and support to those affected by the events of 9-11.
