The FealGood Foundation, NYS Laborers Health & Safety Trust Fund and DC37, AFSCME
are proud to bring you:

A Town Hall Meeting with Victims Compensation Fund Special Master

SHEILA BIRNBAUM, ESQ.

This very special Town Hall Meeting will take place at the United Federation of Teachers office, located at 50 Broadway, New York on June 29, 2011 beginning at 6 P.M.

On June 21, 2011 the United States Department of Justice issued the Proposed Rules & Regulations for the re-opened Victims Compensation Fund (VCF). These Regulations, once fully implemented, will act as the framework under which VCF claims are decided; their importance to the 9/11 Community cannot be understated. The regulations have not been fully adopted, and a forty-five (45) day comment period is now in affect for the public to comment on the regulations and share their thoughts and opinions on specific segments of the rules.

Most importantly, Ms. Birnbaum has agreed to answer your questions during the Town Hall. We urge you to submit your questions by June 26, 2011 online at www.fealgoodfoundation.com. There will also be a brief opportunity to raise a question orally during the Town Hall, but time will be limited so please consider the online submission.

Although the Town Hall will be open to the media, so that First Responders feel comfortable discussing their stories and opinions, we will not allow cameras within the auditorium while the Town Hall is being conducted. Further, in order to have the maximum amount of time allotted to 9/11 Community Members questions, we will designate a ten (10) minute Q&A period for the media at the end of the Town Hall Meeting. We ask that the media remain respectful of this decision and save questions for the end of the meeting.

We look forward to seeing you at the event!

Light food and refreshments will be served
