|Reserve your seat for next Wednesday’s “9/11, Today and Tomorrow” speakers series event at the 9/11 Memorial Preview Site in lower Manhattan.
9/11 and the Spirit of Volunteerism
A three-person panel will discuss how 9/11 sparked a movement of volunteerism across the United States and led to President Obama’s declaration of September 11 as a National Day of Service. The panelists include Jay Winuk of MyGoodDeed, Bill Keegan of H.E.A.R.T. 9/11, and Jeff Parness of The New York Says Thank You Foundation. These nonprofit groups are committed to providing volunteer services in New York City, across the country, and around the world.
Date: Wednesday, December 8, 6:30 p.m.
Location: 9/11 Memorial Preview Site at 20 Vesey St. (between Church St. and Broadway) in lower Manhattan.
Event times: Doors open 6:00 p.m.; Program begins 6:30 p.m.
Event prices: Suggested $10 donation to support programming.
