Lord Ian Blair, former Commissioner of the London Metropolitan Police, led
that agency through one of the most turbulent periods in modern history.
Please join us as Sir Ian discusses comparative approaches to public
security and emergency response in London and in New York, and the US
generally. Sir Ian Blair had a long and distinguished career in policing
and included senior posts in local and national agencies before returning
to London in 2000 as Deputy Commissioner. His autobiography, “Policing
Controversy” was published by Profile Books in 2009.
