The Public Comment Period on the Marcellus Shale fracturing has been extended until December 31st, 2009, If ever a subject needed a response to, this is it.................Never in the history of New York, has a company asked for the "Right" to pollute so many square miles of our aquifers...Click Here >http://www.dec.ny.gov/energy/46288.html ....

Please get a letter out supporting Assemblywoman Janele Hyer-Spencer's bill (A1322) to prohibit drilling within five miles of the NYC DRINKING WATER watershed.

Marcellus Shale - NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation

The only downstate Public Hearing will be on:

Tuesday, November 10, Stuyvesant High School, High School Auditorium, 345 Chambers Street, New York, NY 10282. (*Note: For this meeting, doors will open at 5:30 P.M. and the public comment session will start at 6:30 P.M.)

Here is a LINK to the full dSGEIS, Vice President Cheney's company Halliburton is one of the lead companies utilizing this system and it's toxic mud "BJ Services, Frac Tech Services, Halliburton, Superior Well Services, Universal Well Services, Schlumberger, Superior Well
Services"........ It's 804 page's.........I guess that's large enough to intimidate most environmentalist !
OGdSGEISFull.pdf on ftp.dec.state.ny.us

Below is a list of the Frac'ing chemical's.... The best one's are being kept from there public under the guise of "TRADE SECRETS" !!! ....Right now that can blast from only 2000 feet away from our drinking water........By the way, after they blast down, then they start to blast sideway's, underground, out of sight of prying eye's .......Ethylene Glycol is a deadly, and untraceable chemical used in anti-freeze, it has been used to kill countless people all over the world, it leaves no trace chemical's in the blood stream......Benzene cause's cancer in Parts Per BILLION.

28 Table 5.6 is a list of chemical constituents and their CAS numbers that have been extracted from complete chemical
compositions and Material Safety Data Sheets submitted to the NYSDEC.
29 These are the chemical constituents of all chemical additives proposed to be used in New York for hydraulic fracturing
operations at shale wells. Only a few chemicals will be used in a single well; the list of chemical constituents used in an
individual well will be correspondingly smaller.
30 Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) is a division of the American Chemical Society. CAS assigns unique numerical identifiers
to every chemical described in the literature. The intention is to make database searches more convenient, as chemicals often
have many names. Almost all molecule databases today allow searching by CAS number.
