Photo-Op of World Trade Center Site to Follow Press Conference
National September 11 Memorial & Museum President Joe Daniels will present a briefing on activities of the past year, architect Steven Davis, Partner, Davis Brody Bond Aedas, will give an update on the design of the National September 11 Memorial Museum, and Memorial Museum Director Alice Greenwald will present an overview of the vision for the Museum, at 10:30 AM, Thursday, September 10, at the 9/11 Memorial Preview Site, 20 Vesey Street. New renderings and animation of the Museum will be available.
In addition, the 9/11 Memorial will launch a new online initiative, “Make History.” This worldwide call for images and stories related to 9/11 can be contributed through a newly launched, dynamic website. The submitted content will become a permanent part of the Museum’s Collection.
The presentations will be followed by a broadcast media opportunity of the World Trade Center site at noon. Media outlets will be limited to two representatives. Given active construction and preparation for the 9/11 anniversary ceremony, media will have limited access to the site. All media representatives visiting the site must wear long pants and boots or hard shoes to enter the site, and have proper media credentials. Anyone wearing sneakers or shorts will not be allowed onsite.
