From Mon Aug 03, 2009 3:00 am to Sat Aug 08, 2009 2:59 am (included)
Take a moment and view the NY1 story on the dedication of a street for Loretta Quinn.
Loretta was a good friend and a great person.
She never met a problem that she did not think she could solve.
And once she started on a project she never stopped.
Loretta a lifelong Democrat worked for Andy Lanza when he was our councilman.
A credit to both of them for putting their political agendas aside to do what more elected officials should do, help their constituents.
And Loretta did just that.
She did more than anyone else on Staten Island in helping Andy rename streets in memory of Staten Islanders lost on 9/11.
And she made sure every ceremony had that personal touch.
That was Loretta.
She deserves this recognition although if she was still here she would not want the recognition.
Loretta I know you are up there smiling down on us.
We miss you and wish we had more like you down here.
