Dr. Richard P. Brown, Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, will be teaching a workshop, "Breathwork and Meditation", for the 9/11 Community, Caregivers and Healing Professionals. The day and a half workshop will be held in mid-town Manhattan (see below for details) Saturday and Sunday, June 13 and 14, 2009. 100% of the proceeds of the workshop will be donated to Serving Those Who Serve (STWS), an all-volunteer nonprofit dedicated to the health and well-being of workers and volunteers who served at Ground Zero and related sites. STWS offers them an immune-building detoxification program free of charge.

Dr. Brown's advanced breath techniques and meditation helped stressed and traumatized people regain energy, good sleep and peace of mind as well as to detoxify their bodies and regain harmony in their lives. Normally this workshop costs $300. to attend; for members of the 9/11 Community the charge is $75.; for Caregivers and Healing Professionals, $200. For video testimonials from past participants, to register for the workshop or to learn more about STWS, please go to their website: www.stws.org
