Long Live the Queen!

Hurry down to the Children’s Museum to meet our newest residents and welcome royalty. A new colony of bees was installed in Bugs and Other Insects on May 14th by Chet Crowl, our bee wrangler. The Queen Bee should emerge from her cell any day now to assume her royal duty of populating the hive with workers. Ask any museum educator to tell you how to identify the Queen and don’t forget to curtsy or bow when you see her.

To be or not to be - Theatre Kids with Sundog Theatre

Acting is a great way to build children’s confidence and creativity. For the first time at the museum, the Sundog Theatre is offering an introductory theater program for children in Grades 4-6. The nine-session program starts on Saturday, June 6th (10:30 am-noon). No previous experience is needed. Registration closes on May 29th. Follow this link for details - http://statenislandkids.org/images/sicm_theatre.pdf

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you

The Staten Island Children's Museum is grateful for the support we receive from our elected officials, foundations and corporations.

Recent gifts include:

Councilman Vincent Ignizio - school program sponsorship;
Northfield Bank Foundation - renewed support for Cool School Holidays;

Richmond County Savings Foundation - support of the Portia's Playhouse renovation.

Welcome to Empire Bank - our newest corporate supporter.
