Although we are taking a break this weekend from graffiti cleanups (as
our kids will be volunteering at the Great Kills Memorial Day Parade)
We will be back at it next week and hope to hit another 20 locations.
If you know of any additional locations that need paint overs please
submit a waiver as we are only permitted to clean locations for which
we have waivers.
Flags Across Staten Island
Scott has completed mural number 34 at the Yukon Bus Depot.
We currently have money for the next two
Island Realty at Victory Blvd and Jewett Ave.
IS 49 at 101 Warren Street
We will be receiving $1,000 from Councilman Ignizio within the next
few weeks for # 37
We are also receiving a grant from the Richmond County Bank Foundation
for our Graffiti Program $1,000 of which will be going towards # 38
Councilman Oddo contacted us with some good news that his office will
be funding another 3 murals and once we receive those funds we can get
We have a few people who have expressed interest but at this time we
have no other sponsors.
We would really like to have 40 done by Memorial Day and have 50
completed by the 4th of July.
The Daily News will be doing a feature story on the project for their
Memorial Day edition and will include a video presentation of most of
the murals on their website.
Additional sponsors would be greatly appreciated.

These senior athletes who maintained academic excellence will be
honored at a ceremony on May 27 at St. Johns University.
Our guest speakers this year will be Linda Manfredi principal at PS 29
and Assemblywoman Janele Hyer-Spencer both of whom were athletic
scholars during their High School careers.
Invitations have been sent to all the identified candidates and their

We will be video tape a walk through of the Sea View location this
weekend to supply to HUD the information they need to free up the
funds to begin the initial cleanup of the site.
We have also sent a letter to mayor Bloomberg and all of our local
elected officials in the hopes of getting them more involved in this
