I am a Captain at Turkish National Police, and support

I am writing this email to you because I ask for your help to my dissertation study aiming improvement in disaster management effectiveness.

I had my Masters degree at John Jay College in NYC; and right now at UCF-Orlando trying to get a PhD degree.

If you wanted, I can send you a summary of my research and my CV. To sum up, I would like to understand social capital's effect on emergency management effectiveness.

This is the link to my survey for US Emergency Management officials.

http://www.surveygizmo.com/s/91812/unitedstates

Can you fill this survey out, and also share it with other Heroes you have helped of 9/11?

My goal is to reach out at least 80 persons from each organizations (FEMA, US Army, NYPD, FDNY, Red Cross, and FBI) I selected based on UCINET (a social network analysis tool) analysis. The survey has 25 questions. It has no tracking system; therefore I cannot even understand if one person fills out the surveys 10 times. Therefore, employees of an agency should not fill the surveys more than once.

I dont need to know the names, emails, or any other kind of personal info of the surveyees. The research study will help to increase EM efforts in the future disasters.

Thanks for reading this email, and I am looking forward to seeing your further comments, questions, and cooperation. I'd like to help you with your studies as well.

Sincerely;

Bahadir Sahin, MA

PhD Candidate at Public Affairs Department
