|Preserve New York Grant Applications Available
Deadline: May 4, 2009
Applications are now available for Preserve New York, a grant program of the Preservation League of New York State and the New York State Council on the Arts. The program provides support for cultural resource surveys, historic structure reports, and historic landscape reports.
In 2009, the Preservation League especially encourages projects that advance the preservation of neighborhoods that qualify for the NYS Historic Homeownership Rehabilitation Tax Credit, pre- serve architecture and landscapes of the recent past, preserve historic bridges and transportation corridors, continue the use of historic municipal buildings, or support Main Street revitali- zation.
Applicants must be not-for-profit groups with tax-exempt status or units of local government. State agencies and religious insti- tutions are not eligible to apply.
A total of $96,400 in funding is available. Grants are expected to range between $3,000 and $10,000 each.
