For too long organizations and groups have been acting on their own and many every day issues have gone unsolved do to a lack of cooperation.

In order to make a real difference we need to work together.

There Is No Community Without Unity

Over the years we have met and worked with many organizations, schools, religious institutions, government agencies, civic and community groups, media outlets and elected officials.

In 2009 we will begin a pilot program called “The Where to Turn Community Circle”

The goal of the circle is to bring together members of the various groups that we work with to discuss and address everyday issues.

Using the same approach that was used after 9/11 we hope to be able to address these issues with open discussions and common sense solutions.

Bringing together people from all ages, races, religions and walks of life we hope to offer a unique forum for people to voice their concerns and work on solutions.

Unlike other groups this one will be open to all.

The pilot program will focus on the needs of Staten Island but we hope to develop a template that other will be able to follow.

If you would like to join us as we develop our “Community Circle” please contact us at dennis.mckeon@where-to-turn.org or call us at 718-966-6531 if you have any questions.

The great thing about a circle is that it does not have an end.

We hope our “Community Circle” follows that lead as participating youth become our middle age support and then our senior brain trust and before everything old becomes new again with the next wave of participants.
