From Wed Dec 17, 2008 3:00 am to Sun Dec 21, 2008 2:59 am (included)
|We will begin distributing the toys we have collected this weekend.
As you know most of the toys collected so far are for younger kids.
We are short on gifts for teens.
Chuck Weitzel from the Free Lighting Corp contacted us and will be donating $1,000 so that we can get some things for the older kids.
This is the second time that Chuck has stepped up as he also sponsored a mural.
If anyone else would like to contribute a gift for that age you can drop it off at 150-L Greaves Lane and tell them it is for Where to Turn or you can drop them off at the offices of Senator Lanza, Councilwoman Janele Hyer Spencer or Councilman Michael Cusick. Even a $10 or $15 gift card for the movies or Blockbuster would be great.
We will continue to collect and distribute through the holidays.
Please let us know of any families in need.
Help us make a difference.
