From Thu Dec 11, 2008 3:00 am to Tue Dec 23, 2008 2:59 am (included)
We picked up the first batch of toys and once again St. Johns and Notre Dame High School out did themselves.
I took what I could fit in my car and will pick up the rest tomorrow
On Saturday I will pick up the toys from Dr. Costagliola’s party.
We will start distributing next week.
Please let us know if you know anyone in need. (See details below)
As you know with the help of Dr Costagliola, St. Johns and Notre Dame High School we collect hundreds of toys each holiday season.
We will continue to distribute these toys to families in need around the country as well as to children in local hospitals.
With the state of the economy we are aware that there are many families locally who will have to decide between presents or paying the rent.
You can help by becoming a Where to Turn Angel.
As an angel your responsibility will be to get us information on families in need. (Ages of children addresses etc)
We will then put together a package of appropriate toys for these families.
Your job will be to distribute these packages the week prior to Christmas.
The second option is to have someone from your parish or congregation contact us and we will deliver the packages to them for distribution,
So all you really need to do is identify those in need and get back to us with the information at firstname.lastname@example.org (put Where to Turn Angel in the subject field).
Unfortunately we will only be accepting requests from members of this distribution or local churches and congregations for reasons I am sure I do not need to explain.
For those of you who are doing better I have a special request.
I have been made aware of a family on Staten Island in very bad shape.
Last year the father was stricken with a serious illness and had to be placed in a nursing home.
The family is in dire straights under a pile of bills and limited income.
We are looking for donations to help out this family.
If you would like to help you can send a check to us at
Where to Turn
150-L Greaves Lane # 312

Note “Angel” in the memo field
100% of everything collected will go directly to the family.
If you have any questions about either of these programs feel free to call me at 718-966-6531
Thank you for your continued support
