The Where to Turn Re-Gifting for a Good Cause Program continues to go strong. We picked up gifts at the offices of Assemblyman Lou Tobacco, State Senator Andrew Lanza and the gifts keep flowing into our other drop off points. We are still looking for locations in New Jersey.

We even have someone who is redoing their kitchen and would like to donate their kitchen cabinets which are in great condition.

We are currently searching for a location for our spring flea market.

We had a recent surge in enrollment in our Snow Shoveling for Seniors Program. We hope this continues as we still have nearly 2,000 seniors for whom we do not have volunteers.

We contacted all of our local state officials and sent them a letter asking for their support in our fight against teenage and senior gambling. Click link below to view a copy of the letter.

We also asked our local officials to follow the lead of some NJ State Senators and Assemblyman and introduce a bill to protect our children from falling furniture and TVís. We also are calling on our Representatives to support federal legislation. Where to Turn would like to acknowledge that Congressman Fossella is one of only four Congressmen who have signed on to the bill. (Click link below for more details)

Letters will be going out shortly to our local High Schools asking them to identify candidates for this year's Academic All County Awards. These candidates will be honored at a ceremony at St. Johns in May.

Blood supply is at critical levels in NY and we are asking everyone to please donate. A list of blood drives and donor locations can be found at

We have posted over 25 new grant opportunities

Finally we are still awaiting our check for the Hearts and Hands Memorial and hope to have an update next month.

Thank you for your continued support
