There has been much going on the past few weeks and we would like to give you a few highlights.

The R-Gifting for a Good Cause Program has been incredibly successful. We have received over 1,000 items with more coming in each day. We have picked up re-gifts from the offices of Assemblyman Mike Cusick, Assemblywoman Janele Hyer-Spencer and Senator Lanza. We also received over 50 toys from the South Shore Kiwanis Club and are making our pick up from the North Fork Banks tomorrow. Keep it coming as we will be able to help so many who really need through this program.

We really need some more drop off locations particularly on the North Shore of Staten Island and in New Jersey. All you need to do is to collect the gifts. We will coordinate regular pick ups.

As you know the Katie Elise & Meghan Agnes Act has been reintroduced into the House. We would like to thank Congressmen Fossella LoBiiondo and McGovern for being the first co-sponsors to sign on (see below). We hope that other Representatives will follow suit. Please continue to write your Congressmen as we cannot allow this bill to die in committee again. We currently have nearly 7,500 signatures on our petition if you have not done so please sign on at

Also a state version of the bill will be introduced in New Jersey later this month. The Chloe and Samantha’s Law will be sponsored by Sen. Jeff Van Drew and Assemblymen Nelson Albano and Matthew Milam.

On Thursday the mothers of Chloe and Samantha bravely stood with the Representatives as they publicized the bill. See links below for more details

We are hoping that Senator Lanza will introduce a similar bill in NY.

Snow Shoveling for Seniors

We currently have 500 volunteers and although mother nature has so far been kind it is just a matter of time. We have nearly 2,000 seniors who need assistance. Please spread the word.

Finally as soon as we receive the check we will be moving forward with the Hearts and Hands Memorial. We will need your support. Please let us know if you want to assist with this effort.
