Every year Dr. Costagliola runs a party for his patients and asks them to bring a new unwrapped toy.

Well last night he had his party and this morning we picked up nearly 500 additional toys.

We have been collecting toys and gifts for children who are less fortunate throughout the year.

St. John's is currently running a toy drive through this Thursday and we will add those as well.

It looks like we will have well over 1,000 toys when all is said and done

These toys will be shipped to schools in Mississippi and Louisiana (if you think all is well for these Katrina and Rita victims think again) and be shared with children in our local hospitals.

Or if you know of a family with children in need give us a call.

If your school or organization would like to support this effort please let us know.

If you would like to drop off a toy you can do so at

150-L Greaves Lane
Staten Island, NY 10308

Or at the offices of Senator Lanza or Assemblyman Mike Cusick

Senator Lanza

3845 Richmond Ave.
Suite 2A
Staten Island, NY 10312
(718) 984-4073

Assemblyman Mike Cusick

1911 Richmond Ave
Staten Island, NY 10314

We are looking for additional drop off locations and will post as we receive.

We will also be continuing our Re-Gifting for a Good Cause Program so if you happen to get a gift that you will never wear or use, we will take it off you hands. What we can will be distributed and those we can't will be sold at a flea market in the Spring, with all proceeds going to cover shipping costs for our support programs (for details click on the link below).

We will accept toys at any time but will be kicking off the Re-Gifting for a Good Cause Program on the ABC Saturday Morning Program on 12/29 with Michelle Charlesworth.

We are continuing to collect school supplies and used athletic equipment which will be shipped to Katrina schools which still have very little.

As always your support is greatly appreciated and once again thank you to Dr. Costagliola, his staff, patients and the students, faculty and staff at St. Johns and everyone else who participated.
