Tuesday is Election Day and because of the fact that there are no “Major” races many people will not even vote.

Too many will stay at home because they have better things to do.

Too many are so frustrated with politics as usual on Staten Island that they just don’t see why they should even bother.

This year it seems worse then ever and it’s no wonder that Staten Islanders have lost faith.

But there is a race on Staten Island that will impact all of us for the next four years.

The race for District Attorney.

Forget about the politics. Forget about the ads both in print and on TV.

But most of all forget about not voting.

This is too important an office.

Too many lives will be impacted by the decisions made by the person who is elected.

We need someone who believes that the office should be above political affiliation and that political favors should not play a part in the legal decisions made.

We need someone with integrity.

We need someone who will make the right decisions, not the politically correct ones.

We need someone who will look out for the rights of all Staten Islanders despite race, creed, economic standing or political affiliation.

Only you can decide who that is.

Don’t let the politicians make this decision. If you sit at home on November 6th, that will be what you are doing.

So please go out and vote.

Don’t vote for a Republican, Democrat, Conservative, Independent or Liberal candidate.

Vote for who you think is the “RIGHT” candidate.

If you do that it won’t be politics as usual and Staten Island will continue to be a great place to raise our families.

Dennis
