Elle, Barbara, Ada, Jarrod and Nazli,

This is beyond outrageous. Today you report that 9 human remains were found in a sewer line, the location of which you refuse to disclose, and the method of discovery you refuse to describe. We don't know if these are found at the site or in Brooklyn. We do not know who is excavating the sewer line, to what extent it is being explored and what training those who are digging out this material have received. We continue to ask these and other questions. We continue to ask you to direct us to the proper source if none of you is in a position to answer our questions.
Nazli, in particular, Deputy Mayor Skyler's office has stated many times that all such questions come under the purview of his office. You even use as your email address : "911family questions" Are we especially naive in assuming that also means ANSWERS to our questions?
And, Ms Butcher, you responded in person to questions (9/10/07) by saying that you resent such questions. You can resent them, but you really need to answer them.
Jarrod, we have taken the time to meet with you to reestablish some areas as yet unsearched. Your promise to get a definitive answer within 48 hours was interrupted by your wedding and honeymoon. But that was months ago. We assume you are now back at work and able to fulfill the promises you made in what we assumed was good faith.
Why do you insist on making family members reactionaries, rather than part of what should be a common effort in a common cause? Please respond immediately. Perhaps you do not respect us, but please respect the dead, many of whom were public servants trying to save lives.

Diane Horning
