NY Daily News - Letter - 9/16/07

We can never forget

Bronx: On behalf of the families of World Trade Center victims, I would like to thank the Daily News for your intelligent and heartfelt Sept. 11 editorial ("Let their names be heard throughout the world"). In light of recent demeaning and insulting articles in The New York Times and other newspapers citing alleged "9/11 fatigue," your editorial reflects the view of most Americans and was a balm greatly needed by the still-grieving relatives of those who were murdered. I am disgusted by the despicable comments of glib, detached pseudo-intellectuals who didn't lose anyone on 9/11 but think they should control how we memorialize our loved ones. These same people have no problem memorializing the death of Princess Diana and the 10 separate articles about her that recently appeared in The Times. I suggest that these ungrateful whiners pray to God that they and their families are not the next victims of a terrorist attack.
