Two more injured at the Deutsche Bank Building......two more remains recovered at the site and the carousel of insanity continues.

When is somebody going to realize that as long as this project is self monitoring we will continue to have these problems.

For six years either the LMDC or the LMDDC or the PA (you pick the letters) have continued to do as they please at the site with no answerability to anyone.

The mayor only gets involved if either the reconstruction of the site or the raising of funds for his, as it is no longer the families', memorial is the issue.

We have been calling for outside supervision of the recovery effort but have been ignored.

What is the result?

Six years gone and we are still finding remains and do not have one positive ID from the 1,685 remains recovered.

We have over 14,000 signatures on a petition to require that construction be covered under NYC Building and Fire codes but have been dismissed.

What is the result?

We will have skyscrapers and subterranean structures that will not be built to code and more lives will be placed in jeopardy.

They will continue to hire and fire companies after incidents in which people are injured or killed but never accept any responsibility or be held accountable for anything.

The Deutsche Bank is a perfect example of all that is wrong with this project.

The LMDC has owned the building for over 3 years and could not even manage its dismantling.

As a result two firefighters died going into a building that should not even still be standing.

So they fire the firm they hired but I am sure they will still be paid.

Someone should do an audit of how much money has been wasted by the LMDC and all of the other development corporations that were created after 9/11.

As nothing ever seems to get done.

They should check how much as been spent on the Deutsche Bank building alone.

Last year they made a big deal about how they were going to closely monitor the costs of the memorial and museum.

Has anyone followed up on that lately?

The bottom line is as long as we continue to allow them to self monitor their activities we will continue to have these issues.

People will continue to get hurt, people will continue to die, many remains will not be recovered, and the carousel of insanity at Ground Zero will continue to spin.
