TIME TO CLIMB OUT OF THAT TRAGIC PIT

http://www.where-to-turn.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=38753

The first is an editorial from the Staten Island Advance and the second is an article from the New York Post.

The first came as a surprise as the Advance has usually been very supportive of the 9/11 families and has totally misrepresented our position

For example this is totally untrue

“The families are demanding that the city allow them the same level of access to Ground Zero as they have had in previous years for the ceremony that has come to mean so much to them.”

Also they go on to state that we want the formal ceremony to take place at the site and that we are unwilling to compromise which are both untrue.

The second came as no surprise at all as the Post has been towing the mayor’s company line from day one.

They quote a few family members one of whom has previously personally written to tell us that we did not know what we were talking about as to the safety issues with the underground memorial design.

We have received numerous letters and e-mails of support from family members.

To state that we are disrespecting the first responders with our position is absurd.

But what do you expect from a paper that has rarely printed the families’ side of any 9/11 argument.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and we feel we deserve the same respect.

We just ask that you correctly report our position.

Finally it is amazing that now safety is of primary concern.

Safety does not seem that important as the site is still exempt from NYC Building and Fire codes and we has never gotten a response to the Kallstrom memo.

It has “ALWAYS” been our primary concern and we would never place anyone in danger.

Put It Above Ground

We ask everyone pro or con to send a letter in response to these articles.
