Letter to the Editor - Star Ledger - April 6, 2007

A 9/11 disgrace

Of all the horrors arising from 9/11, the situation detailed in Bob Braun's March 29 column, "Fate of 9/11 remains is a disgrace," is one of the biggest stomach turners of them all. I knew that the cemetery for many bodies of 9/11 victims was the Fresh Kills Landfill on Staten Island but had all ways hoped it would be treated with dignity. I should have known better. This disgrace happened on the watch of that great hero, Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Now that he is running for president, it will be interesting to see how he spins the story to absolve himself of all blame.
