I wholeheartedly agree with Jane Pollicino in her letter to Mayor Bloomberg re his decision to list the names of those innocent victims who were murdered on 9/11 (my son, Stephen James Lauria was a young man of 39 and was never found to this day). He should be listed with all the other victims, with the members of their company. His was Marsh & McLennan - 300 of their employees were lost that day.

How dare Mayor Bloomberg make a cold-hearted decision like that? Because he did not truly feel anything like we family members are feeling at the loss of our loved ones. He did not lose a son, daughter, wife, or relative on that dreadful day. If he had, he would have felt differently, I believe.

We lived in Staten Island for 23 years, and Stephen grew up there, going to St. Rita's Church, and then to Msgr. Farrell H.S. on their cross-country track team. I now am retired and living in Florida, but S.I. is always "my home".

Sincerely,
Mrs. Ann Lauria

What a great letter......Jane has said it "as it so painfully is".
