To All,

Attached please find the latest update regarding the current search at Ground Zero.

Please note the following.

Only after it was reported in the papers are we now informed that they are excavating the site of the Greek Orthodox Church. Even after the Horning’s personally requested the definition of Liberty Street remains.

Even though we have been getting nightly updates this is the first time that we are being informed that the excavation of the haul road is complete and that it has been repaved.

Why was the road so quickly covered up and why wasn’t the ramp into the Pit excavated?

After the remains were found in the first manhole we were told that they would require the utilities to identify and clear all remaining manholes at and surrounding the site.

Here we are over five months after the first finds and 8% of the identified manholes have been cleared (53 of 649).

There is not one mention of how many remains have been tested.

There is no explanation as why there have been no DNA matches from the nearly 1,200 human remains found (including the Deutsche Bank Building)

There is no mention of any personal items found or WTC Debris found under the Haul Road other than the 2 beams even though we have been told that hundreds of such items were recovered.

There is still no explanation as to why the roofs of the other surrounding buildings have not been search. Since they have been wrong about the Deutsche Bank Building, the Haul Road and the Greek Orthodox Church it would be safe to assume that they are wrong about the rooftops.

There is no mention that had it not been for the pressure from the families that none of these areas would even have been searched.

The current search continues to be mishandled and the current testing process borders on the ridiculous.

Although the Mayor’s Office continues to put a positive spin on this (supported by most of the media) the fact remains that none of the issues above have been addressed and almost all of our questions from 5 months ago have gone unanswered.

This entire process continues to be a disgrace.

Put It Above Ground
