|Nothing new to report today.
They continue to sift through the material from manholes 3 & 4 and have not gotten to the trench material yet.
I would like to clear up a few inaccuracies that have been reported in the media recently.
A few of the articles described the recent finds as the first in a few weeks.
The fact of the matter is that there has been no search for remains over the last few weeks.
All of the excavated material has been sitting waiting for the facility at Water Street to open.
Had the facility been available these remains would have been uncovered almost 3 weeks ago when the manholes were emptied.
The media has made it appear that the search for remains had turned up nothing over the last few weeks while in reality there was no search at all.
The progress with the trench is very slow.
This will at least give them time to sift through all of the remaining material at Water Street.
Not a peep about the personal items. We will contact Clinton’s office tomorrow for am update.
Still no Resolution in the City Council, we will place a call to Gerson’s office tomorrow as well.
It appears that more people are beginning to pay attention to our sites.
We got the flag fixed. Now it would be great if they followed it up with why no flag is planned for the site.
They could follow up that with why we still have not seen the search protocols.
Then maybe someone would ask for the current cost estimates as I am sure they are once again well above $500 million for the Memorial.
Also what was the contract resolution at 130 Liberty? What is the current cost estimate for that site as well?
From a strictly economic perspective wouldn’t it make sense to bring in all the “free” assistance available?
Just a thought.
We will keep you updated
