As you know 11 Water Street was opened today and they started processing the material from manholes 3 and 4.

One remain was uncovered today that appears to be a piece of a finger.

Do to the odd color and the condition of the fragment they are not 100% percent sure as to its origin and they think it may even be from prior to 9/11/01.

Further tests are being conducted. We will keep you posted.

The latest dilemma is that once the material is processed through 11 Water Street they have no place to store it.

Governor Pataki’s Office was unofficially pushing for Fresh Kills but is now stepping away and will leave it up to Spitzer to make the call.

This may slow the process in 11Water if material cannot flow through the process and be removed.

The Mayor’s office has offered tours of the 11 Water Street facility in January and we have already requested one.

Anyone interested in taking part in the tour with us can contact us at info@where-to-turn.org.

We also hope that you will join us tomorrow night at the Community Board 1 Meeting

This might be our last chance to get JPAC involved in the search. (click link below for details)

Still no word from Gerson, on the resolution, or Clinton on the personal property issue.

We will keep you posted.
