Dear Editor,

In response to Michael Goodwin’s article of 11/1 “Mike Finally Gets It Right” although I appreciate Mr. Goodwin’s concern for the 9/11 families it is obvious that he has been taken in by the smoke and mirrors of the Mayor’s office.

Unlike Mr. Skyler’s description of this search effort as “practically pebble by pebble” it is not nearly as comprehensive as necessary.

If it were the rooftops of all surrounding buildings would be being searched not just a select few.

All manholes and utility boxes would be being searched along with the entire sewer system not just ones that “might have been missed”.

Most importantly the search would be being conducted by skilled forensic experts not construction and utility workers.

Finally if this was such a great plan it would have been shared with the public. At this point there are people in charge at Ground Zero who have not seen it.

No, Mr. Goodwin, Mike has not finally gotten it right. If you don’t let him know it, he never will.

Dennis McKeon
