PRESS AVAILABILITY FOR PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION, “HERE: REMEMBERING 9/11”, IN COMMEMORATION OF THE FIFTH ANNIVERSARY OF SEPTEMBER 11th
Exhibition to be on display at the World Trade Center Site
The World Trade Center Memorial Foundation, with the support of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, today announced that tomorrow panels for a photography exhibition commemorating the 5th anniversary of September 11th, will be posted on the perimeter fence of the World Trade Center site. The complete exhibit is expected to be posted by Thursday, August 24, 2006.
The Foundation will hold a press availability at the site. Interviews will be available with Joe Daniels, Acting President of the WTC Memorial Foundation; Alice Greenwald, Director of the Memorial Museum; as well as photographers from the exhibition.
The exhibition,“here: remembering 9/11” features a selection of 42 photographs from the “here is new york: a democracy of photographs” exhibition, which formally opened to the public in New York City on September 25, 2001, as well as additional photographs commissioned for the 5th anniversary.
High resolution copies of several of the photographs will be available through the WTC Memorial Foundation website, http://www.buildthememorial.org/, beginning Wednesday, August 23, 2006.
