On Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at 1:00 PM, family members of WTC victims will hold a press conference in reaction to the release of large numbers of newly disclosed 911 tapes.
These tapes are being released to the families as a result of a lawsuit brought by the New York Times in which nine family members of 9/11 victims intervened. This is the third distribution of 911 calls from Emergency Responders and other victims in the WTC.
In attendance will be 9/11 family members, fire fighters and fire officers who survived the WTC collapse, and a Fire Science/Emergency Management professor and his students from John Jay College, NYC.
