To All,

It has been reported today that the government has been bilked out of over $1.4 Billion in funds that were allocated for Katrina Relief. Findings will be presented to Congress today that will show how these funds were used from everything from French champagne to wild Caribbean vacations.

The sad thing is that there are millions who still legitimately need these funds. The even sadder thing is that the government will have hearings and set up committees to investigate these findings and nothing will happen.

The reason these rip offs continue to occur is because people know that they will never be punished for their involvement.

For over a year we have been waiting for the government to respond to the hundreds of millions misspent by the Office of Homeland Security. The audit report detailing these findings was submitted to Congress over 9 months ago and still no one has been held accountable.

For four years we have been asking to hold either applicants or banks responsible for 9/11 loans that were granted to recipients that were never impacted by 9/11 (Donut shops in Phoenix etc). To date nothing has been done. (see posting below)

Congress continues to spend additional millions on committees and reports but never acts on the findings. Case in point almost none of the 9/11 Commission recommendations have been acted upon.

The bottom line is that there will always be people to take advantage of the system if they know there is very little chance of being held responsible.

Until Congress wakes up to this fact these rip offs will continue.

Dennis
