GRETCHEN DYKSTRA, PRESIDENT AND CEO, WORLD TRADE CENTER MEMORIAL FOUNDATION, PRAISES APPROVAL OF LMDC FUNDING
“This is another important step forward in a recent series of large steps taken to build the Memorial and Memorial Museum. Our donors need certainty of budget, schedule and available funds and now the Foundation can provide all three.
“We’re gratified that today the LMDC Board set in motion to allocate $200 million in HUD funding toward building the Memorial and Museum. This allocation includes $175 million in funding to the Foundation and $25 million in in-kind contributions related to design and construction. Our goal to complete the Memorial and Museum is clearly in sight.”
